After the events of Friday afternoon, I kind of like this quilt pattern:

bordered diamonds!

Take a look:

Kimberly,
Have you checked out the quilting classes at Alewives?
Committing to one of their classes might be the jump-start into quilting I need!
Either that or we'll get Emily to show us how.

And there's more to the Lark-International story:

the jewelry roll spent seven days in La Trinite-sur-Mer, on the Brittany coast of France in October,2011, at the Student Yachting World Cup races. The roll didn't have croissants and cafe au lait at the patisserie down the street every morning, and it wasn't included in the dinner of buckwheat crepes and mushrooms with glasses of the local hard cider...but it did have a very nice view of the harbor from our room

Love the jewelry rolls, especially the fabric and ESPECIALLY the buttons.

What's your next project?

Emily, you are by far my cutest and most industrious cousin ever!! I love this fabric. Too bad the extent of the jewelry I own would not justify any bag of this class or size!! Hope you guys had a great visit over the fourth!!
xoxoLiza

We had a wonderful time in Ireland. The jewelry roll fitted into an overstuffed suitcase; it was easily locate-able every morning, and the jewelry got worn. The bag made the perfect carry-all for wallet, passport, camera--- and I still had room for the heart-shaped rock from the beach at Roches Point.

The first picture was taken in Fanore, County Clare, on Galway Bay. The second was outside Rockview House, the Lea, Kinsale, and the third was in Millstreet, County Cork.
